Solihull Self Defence will be running a self defence course This course will incorporate the FAST DEFENCE and EDDIE QUINN’S THE APPROACH methods Are you looking for accessible short self-defence courses? Enjoy learning and finding new ways to improve your life?
What we teach in FAST Defence is simple to understand, easy to do, and will be retained long after the course has finished.
You'll learn how to:
* Avoid being selected as a target;
* Use your body's adrenaline to help you;
* Avoid knee-jerk passive or aggressive responses that just make things worse;
* Utilise your own internal awareness and intuition;
* Use strong body language and voice to set and maintain your personal space;
* Use simple, devastatingly effective physical skills when you need to.
We use cutting edge adrenal stress response training to hardwire those skills into your body, so you can rely on them when you need them. This same training is used around the world to train elite law enforcement and military units; fire fighters, airline pilots etc. Anyone who really needs to rely on their training when it counts.

For the more advance persistence we will be training in the APPROACH met herd. What is THE APPROACH? Is it a new system? What it is, is a distillation of Pencak Silat Fitrah, with influences of Thai, Filipino and Indonesian martial arts.
Learn how to Destroy any incoming Punch! You will learn to use your whole body as a weapon. THE APPROACH has no blocks only devastating strikes.
